UniLauf 2025: Sporting challenge and celebration in Lübeck!
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the UniLauf 2025 and the accompanying summer festival will take place at the University of Lübeck. The event will start at 4:00 p.m. with the summer festival, while the running event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the start will be at 5:30 p.m. The location of the event is the forecourt of the Audimax at the university, Mönkhofer Weg 245, 23562 Lübeck. The event is open to everyone aged 18 and over, both beginners and experienced runners.
Participants can look forward to different route lengths. 5 km, 10 km and a 4 x 2.5 km relay are offered, in which at least two genders must be represented per relay. A special rating will also be awarded for the best costumes, which gives the participants' creativity an additional dimension.
Registration and conditions of participation
The entry fee for the individual races is €10, while the relay races cost €20. Registrations are online via the link my.raceresult.com/337636/registration possible. The deadline for registration is Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Late registrations are possible on the day of the event, but must be submitted 60 minutes before the start or when the participant limit has been reached. An additional fee of €3 will be charged for late registrations.
The event schedule includes registration of runners and late registrations from 4:00 p.m. There will be a welcome and warm-up at 5 p.m. The awards ceremonies are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., providing participants an opportunity to celebrate their achievements.
Invitation to the summer party
The summer festival offers a variety of attractions. Visitors can look forward to food trucks, a chillout area and various stands and promotions. There will be an exciting program for the little guests with a bouncy castle, face painting and a games corner. Live music will also provide the right entertainment so that both runners and spectators can be in a festive mood.
The entire event is led by Dipl.-Sportwiss. Katrin Bührmann, who acts as head of university sports at the University of Lübeck. The event promises to be a lively celebration for the entire university, with the focus on the communal experience.
An alternative to the UniLauf is the Rothaarsteig Marathon, which offers exciting routes through nature, such as Runners World is described. The warm-up phase is characterized, among other things, by steep climbs and picturesque landscapes. But for everyone who prefers the atmosphere of a university event, the UniLauf 2025 offers the ideal opportunity to be active in sports together and exchange ideas.
