Olivia Vieweg: Heroines from the comic world – exhibition and reading in Weimar!

Olivia Vieweg, a talented comic artist and graduate of the Bauhaus University Weimar, has made a name for herself with her unique imagery and innovative storytelling. As part of her artistic work, she has published six of her own graphic novels since graduating, which have not only received multiple awards but have also been translated internationally. Her works, including the remarkable diploma project "Endzeit", which was adapted as a script at the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF), appeal to a broad target group by presenting complex topics in a captivating visual framework.

The film adaptation of “Endzeit” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018 and attracted international attention. Her graphic novels are known for the contrast between colorful drawings and dark themes. Bauhaus University Weimar reports that Vieweg's stories often move between comedy and horror, as well as between reality and fiction. This gives her work a deep emotional resonance and allows readers to immerse themselves in diverse worlds.
