Diversions and changed opening times: How to get to us!
On July 4, 2025, changed opening times will apply at various educational institutions during the semester break. These changes particularly affect the university library, the language center and other relevant facilities in Erfurt.
According to the information from uni-erfurt.de The opening hours of the **Student Advisory Service** are Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and by appointment. Advice can be reached by telephone from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
The **University Library** will be open from July 28th to September 28th, 2025, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Service hours are limited to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays the library is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but closed on Sundays. Important closing days are Saturday, August 9th, Saturday, September 20th and Friday, October 3rd, 2025. Normal opening hours apply from September 29th.
Research library and language center
In addition to the university library, the Gotha Research Library at Friedenstein Castle is open from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Perthes Forum is open on the same days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The **Language Center** has changed opening hours during the semester break from July 7th to 11th, 2025, which include Monday to Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. After that, in the week of July 14th to 18th, the hours are Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Friday remains closed). IT support and other services
The **University Computing and Media Center (URMZ)** offers IT support during the changed opening hours. **Studentenwerk** facilities are also changing their opening hours. The cafeteria is open from July 21st to August 29th, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After that, the regular times apply from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The **Café Hörsaal 7** is closed from July 21st to October 4th, 2025.
Some services, such as the BAföG service and general social advice, also have different opening times. The information point will remain closed on July 29, 2025. Such changes are important not only for students, but also for employees who rely on opening hours.
In addition, the Language Center at the University of Vienna will provide information about changed opening times due to track construction work, which will last until the end of August 2025.
