The University of Erfurt invites you to a comprehensive workshop entitled “Publishing academically – an overview” on Monday, May 19th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is aimed specifically at doctoral students who would like to further their research career. As the University of Erfurt reports, the workshop offers participants the opportunity to actively participate in various topics related to academic publishing.
In particular, key points such as literature management programs, publication options for research data and legal aspects, including copyright, are covered. In addition, the different publication cultures and workflows are discussed. The active participation of the participants is encouraged through group work, which promotes the exchange of ideas and the practical use of the content.
Qualification for doctoral students
The decision to pursue a doctorate is an important step on the career path of young scientists. In addition to the professional specialist knowledge that is usually taught in graduate programs, the development of transferable skills is encouraged.
Members of the Graduate Academy can also use their budget for paid courses, while non-members can also take part in the courses and receive an invoice for them. Registration for the various qualification courses is binding, and if participants are unable to attend, they must cancel their registration by email 10 days before the start of the course in order to be able to take waiting lists into account if necessary.
