On October 10, 2025, the ceremonial graduation ceremony of the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education took place in the Congress Center Stadtgarten. Around 200 graduates celebrated their successful graduation, accompanied by around 500 guests. The event was characterized by music, personal speeches, and a raffle for tickets for the anniversary ball, which will take place in November. The Rector, Prof. Dr. Kim-Patrick Sabla-Dimitrov invited the graduates to remain part of the university and thanked them for their commitment, which has enriched the academic community. This celebration is intended not only to honor the graduation, but also to signal the beginning of a lasting connection to the university.
The celebration was celebrated with musical performances by Dr. Martin Hartmannsgruber and Prof. Dr. Lutz Kasper accompaniments. Soprano Susanne Meyer and guitarist Nico Mutzke also performed, which added to the festive atmosphere. Mayor Julius Mihm brought congratulations from the city and congratulated the graduates on their achievements. AStA chairman Isabel Schweppe also spoke and acknowledged the students' contribution to the university and the city community. Particularly noteworthy was the awarding of the DAAD Prize to Iryna Leshchyk by Vice Rector Daniel Rellstab.
