Future of further education: ZWW shines with EVALAG certification!
The Center for Scientific Continuing Education (ZWW) at the Ludwigsburg University of Education recently received the EVALAG quality seal, which confirms high quality standards in scientific continuing education. As the Ludwigsburg University of Education reports, the ZWW was successfully tested in 2024 and certified until the end of 2032.
The certification certificate was awarded at the EVALAG conference on December 5th and 6th, 2024. The quality seal is awarded as part of the state project Hochschulbildung@BW and offers reliable orientation to those interested in further training. The award recognizes the professionalism of the ZWW in the area of scientific continuing education and particularly highlights its strengths in the areas of control, governance, knowledge transfer and application orientation.
The role of EVALAG
EVALAG, the central contact point for quality development in higher education in Baden-Württemberg, plays a crucial role in the creation and awarding of the new quality seal. EVALAG designs specific consulting, qualification and networking offers for all groups of people who are responsible for the implementation or quality assurance of further training offers.

The value of certification
The standards established as part of the new quality seal are intended to increase transparency in the market for further training offerings. EVALAG has developed a lean and needs-based certification process that has already been tested in pilot procedures. The registration deadline for these procedures ended on June 1, 2024, and registration is no longer possible.
Although further scientific training is not subject to accreditation requirements, certification by EVALAG still offers numerous advantages. This was confirmed by EVALAG, which emphasizes that standardization of quality assurance ensures transparency and comparability and generates both internal and external benefits.
