From June 24, 2025, the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg will be offering intensive trainee coaching to support trainees in their first year of training.

Trainee coaching: This is how Nuremberg's talents start their professional lives successfully!
An innovative project at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, known as “AzubiCoaching”, offers valuable support for trainees in their first year of training. Loud FAU.de Business students have agreed to coach trainees over a period of six months. The aim of the project is to promote the progress of training, especially in the critical initial phase.
The coaching focuses on both technical content and personal skills such as communication and self-organization. Workshops that cover topics such as presentation techniques complement the program and enable comprehensive preparation for challenges in professional life.
Insights into tandem coaching
An example of the successful implementation of coaching is the tandem of student Selin and trainee Rimedina. Selin became aware of the project through her lecturer André Hertle, while Rimedina found out about it from her trainer. Their meetings in Nuremberg cafés are intended to help promote more open communication. Rimedina reports that the coaching gave her more confidence and worked on her ability to work as a team. Both also plan to continue meeting regularly after the project.

Advanced coaching approaches
In addition to trainee coaching, there are other coaching offers that can be helpful for trainees.
