Cross-border education: Passau and Budweis united in sport!

As part of an innovative exchange between students from the South Bohemian University of České Budějovice and the University of Passau, two important events were recently held to promote international cohesion and cross-border cooperation. In September the program continued with a five-day rowing course at the boathouse of the University of Passau, in which over 30 rowing newcomers took part. Scientists like Dr. Tomáš Tlustý and Dr. Radek Vobr accompanied the Czech students and received active support from the Passau Rowing Club.

Funding from the EU

The entire series of events is funded as part of the INTERREG program for cross-border cooperation between Bavaria and the Czech Republic. This EU program aims to jointly overcome challenges in the Bavarian-Czech border area and to further develop the living, natural and economic area.
