Discover your future: Viadrina invites prospective students to the information day!
On August 30, 2025, the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) invites prospective students to an information day. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the university's main building, Große Scharrnstraße 59. Participants have the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the various study programs and to ask questions directly to the contact persons in the faculties and the central student advisory service. A highlight of the day are the campus tours as well as individual consultations and tours of the university library.
The day starts at 11 a.m. with a welcome and introduction of the faculties - the cultural studies, economics and law faculties - in the Senate Hall (room 109). Information stands will then be available on the first floor between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. In addition, participants can take part in a more informative campus walk from 1:30 p.m. and a city tour from 2:15 p.m. Enrollment for the open-admission courses is possible until September 15th.
A wide range of study options for the winter semester 2025/26
In the coming winter semester 2025/26, the European University Viadrina will expand its range of courses. New additions to the list of courses include law studies and international business administration. A bachelor's degree in cultural studies (in German and English) is also offered. The university will also provide international study programs such as the Master of European Studies and the Master of International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, as well as International Business Administration at bachelor's and master's levels. What is particularly pleasing is that there are no tuition fees for all undergraduate programs.
An additional innovative offer is the dual Bachelor's program in Business Taxation, which runs over seven semesters. This program combines tax advice with practical experience and only offers 15 study places - enrollment is possible without a numerus clausus (NC). Applications are submitted directly to the practice partner company, with the support of Viadrina.
Incidents and the student environment
A comprehensive analysis of the best cities for studying in Germany and Austria shows that large cities with over a million inhabitants such as Berlin, Hamburg and Munich are particularly attractive for students due to their numerous universities and rich leisure and cultural offerings. Alternatively, there are also smaller student cities such as Heidelberg or Innsbruck, where a high proportion of the population, at least one in five residents, are students. These considerations when choosing a course of study are particularly crucial because they can influence the entire student life. For a detailed overview of popular student cities, visit StudyCheck.
In addition, the university is planning an open day on June 25, 2025 to inform potential students about the new course offerings. In addition, a taster course will be offered from June 6th to July 7th, 2025, in which those interested can take part in partial events - an ideal opportunity to experience everyday study life at the Viadrina up close.
How das-wissen.de states, enrollment for the new programs will begin on June 2, 2025. All of this shows that the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) leaves no stone unturned to offer prospective students a comprehensive and attractive offer.
