Study trip to BTU: Students discover the future of science!

The “BTU-live” event will take place at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg on October 14th and 15th, 2025. This day event is aimed specifically at students from the 11th grade onwards and has the clear aim of providing comprehensive information about study options and the courses on offer. Orientation studies as an option

For many high school graduates, the question arises about the next step after the exams. The orientation course offers a comprehensive insight into everyday life at the university. In the second semester, they can take modules from the respective study programs and have the opportunity to take exams, which will also be recognized if they are satisfied.

Financial support and application details

The orientation course is eligible for BAföG and includes a semester ticket that is valid for free travel on public transport in Berlin, Brandenburg and to Dresden. Some documents are required for the application. This includes a CV in tabular form, a certified university entrance qualification, proof of health insurance and parental consent for underage applicants. Applications should be sent directly to the BTU.
