The TiHo VetFestival will take place in Hanover on August 29th and 30th, 2025, a unique event for veterinary medicine with training courses, workshops and festivities.
First TiHo VetFestival: training, celebrations and networking in Hanover!
The first will take place on the Bünteweg campus of the Hannover Veterinary University Foundation (TiHo) on the last weekend in August 2025 TiHo VetFestival take place. This new event combines a veterinary congress with a festival character and will be held on August 29th and 30th, 2025. The motto of the festival is “Educate, Celebrate, Fairnet”. The target group is veterinarians, animal carers, animal keepers, veterinary assistants and veterinary students.
Under the leadership of Prof. Holger Volk, director of the small animal clinic, the TiHo clinics will organize the event. The program includes over 27 interactive intensive workshops as well as a two-day main program focusing on various animal species, including small and pet animals as well as farm animals such as horses, pigs and cattle. Topics covered include veterinary practice, nursing care, and veterinary wellness.
Diverse program and supporting program
The venues for lectures, seminars and workshops are in the Klinikum am Bünteweg. The supporting program is offered on the festival meadow with live music, street food and numerous exchange opportunities - an opportunity to promote networking outside of the specialist lectures. This combination of modern learning methods, relaxing elements and social exchange takes into account the increasing need for holistic training.

Congresses in veterinary medicine
The TiHo VetFestival is part of a number of important veterinary conferences that will take place in the coming years. These include, among others, theBavarian Veterinary Days, which will be held in Bamberg from June 5th to 7th, 2025, and theVÖK annual meetingin Austria, which will take place from September 18th to 20th, 2025 at the Salzburg Exhibition Center.
In addition, other important events such asDVG Vet Congressin November 2025 in Berlin and thebpt congressEnd of November 2025 in Wiesbaden to promote interdisciplinary exchange among experts. These congresses are not only important for further training, but also for the transfer of know-how in veterinary medicine.
