Promotion prizes for creative talents: 30,000 euros for Osnabrück students!

On March 6, 2025, sponsorship prizes were awarded to a total of 42 students and graduates of the University of Osnabrück at Osnabrück Castle. This award not only highlights outstanding achievements in various disciplines, but also encourages the creative and scientific curiosity of the award winners. The prizes awarded have a total value of 30,000 euros and are recognition for innovative work in areas such as artificial intelligence, biology, chemistry, physics, music and dance. Prof. Dr. Jochen Oltmer, Vice President for Studies and Teaching, praised the award winners' remarkable achievements during the event.

Prof. Dr. particularly emphasized Christian Ungermann, board member of the university society, the variety of foundations that support the awards and their close connection to the university and the region. The award winners are presented in a special sponsorship award brochure that provides a detailed overview of their work.

The non-profit organization CogSci Network e.V. also awards prizes for outstanding work in the areas of cognitive science. These prizes are specifically intended for bachelor's, master's or doctoral theses and are each endowed with 500 euros. The criteria include, among other things, exceptional interdisciplinarity and practical applications to promote the influence of cognitive science.
