Future Forum Artificial Intelligence: Register now for exciting impulses!
Leibniz University Hannover invites you to the “Visions4AI” event on Monday, September 22, 2025. The aim of this event is to promote a discourse about artificial intelligence (AI) and to discuss the opportunities that this key technology offers in various areas of life. Interested parties from science, business, politics and citizens are warmly welcome.
The event, which takes place in the university's historic Guelph Castle, begins at 5 p.m. Admission is from 4:30 p.m. In two sessions, participants can expect exciting impulse talks from renowned experts who illuminate application areas such as education, medicine, climate research, communication and robotics. The event will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Marius Lindauer and Dr. Theresa Elm from the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at the LUH, and the Mayor of Hanover Belit Onay takes over the patronage. Admission is free, but registration is required by Friday, August 29, 2025 Prof. Dr. Marius Lindauer.
Diversity and networking in focus
“Visions4AI” has set itself the goal of providing inspiration for dealing with artificial intelligence. The topics that are the focus are diverse and include relevant social issues. These include areas such as communication, schools, health, robotics and language technologies. The importance of AI is also highlighted in the context of current developments in research, teaching and social development.
Another aspect of the event is the exchange of the latest research results in AI. Members of the university present current projects in the form of poster presentations and demonstrators. Networking opportunities, accompanied by snacks and drinks, enable participants to establish new collaborations and strengthen existing networks.
Artificial intelligence as a key technology
The rapid development in the field of artificial intelligence has led the federal government to view AI as a key technology for innovations and products. With an annual budget of 500 million euros for the years 2019 to 2021 as well as an additional 2 billion euros from the economic stimulus and future package, AI is being strengthened as part of the national strategy. In total, the AI strategy pursues twelve fields of action, with a focus on creating a unique AI ecosystem in Germany and Europe.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMFTR) sees AI tools and skills as part of basic services. This also includes promoting the development and application of AI systems in order to strengthen Germany's competitiveness internationally. The continuation of the AI strategy also includes measures in the areas of pandemic control, sustainability and international networking. The aim is to make full use of the social and economic benefits of AI.
Events like “Visions4AI” promote the dialogue between science, business and society in order to make the best possible use of the potential of artificial intelligence. Participants are called upon to actively participate in shaping the future of AI and to seize the opportunities that this technology offers.
