Discover the University of Paderborn: Study live” starts soon!

On April 11, 2025, the University of Paderborn will host its “Study Live” event, which is aimed at students and prospective students. The aim of this initiative is to provide a comprehensive insight into the university's lectures and seminars, especially the introductory events. The lecture attendance program extends from April 14th to July 4th, 2025. Registration for this offer is not necessary, which makes it easier for potential students to find out about the various study programs.

Ines Werner from the Central Student Advisory Service explains that this event is about introducing those interested to the content of the degree programs and enabling them to get to know the campus from the students' perspective. It is particularly recommended to use the offer right at the beginning of the lecture period, for example during the Easter holidays, in order to get an optimal overview of the courses. Further information and an overview of the courses offered are available on the event website, which is well structured and clearly laid out.

Advice for working people

In addition to “Study Live”, the University of Paderborn offers special information events for qualified professionals. This is aimed at people who have already acquired vocational training or a master's certificate and are considering further academic training. Employees from the central student advisory service and the student office are available to provide information about available study options.

In order to apply for admission to university, you must attend an individual counseling appointment. During this appointment, participants receive personalized advice confirmations, which are further processed internally. It is important to provide your full name, including your maiden name if applicable, and your date of birth in the booking tool.

These events are offered as a video call via Zoom, with participants agreeing to Zoom's terms of use and privacy policy by registering. Information about event dates and registration options is also available in the booking tool. After registration, access data for Zoom participation will be provided to enable those interested to participate easily and flexibly.
