Innovative ideas and events: Summer on the HHU campus 2025!
Impressive wooden structures have recently been erected on the campus meadow of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU), which serve as part of a temporary coworking space. This space, available until July 10, 2025, invites all HHU members to learn and relax outdoors. Ingo Stefes, Managing Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Düsseldorf (CEDUS), emphasizes the opportunity to exchange ideas and give space to innovative thoughts. CEDUS has been organizing this pop-up space for four years, which serves as a platform for those interested in starting a business. Those interested can still contact cedus@hhu.de by email for their own events.
Diverse events and offers
The coworking space is not only used as a learning place, but also offers a number of planned events. This includes a yogic breathing break led by Alexandra Habot-Jacobowitz every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. This mini lunchtime meditation aims to provide participants with energy, focus and serenity.

An exciting addition are the rental options within the coworking space. For example, picnic blankets and games such as Kubb, Mölkky or ladder golf can be borrowed here, which further enriches the experience.
The HHU ideas competition
At the same time, the HHU ideas competition was launched, which calls for the submission of innovative products, services or projects. The best submissions can win prizes totaling up to 1,000 euros. Particularly noteworthy is the special prize for the most sustainable idea, which is awarded in cooperation with the HCSD. The pop-up coworking space in front of the University and State Library (ULB) and the ongoing activities ensure a lively exchange that is unique in this form.
