Chemnitz Alumni: Big meeting at the TU – Register now!
The Chemnitz University of Technology invites you to its 12th International Alumni Meeting from May 9th to 11th, 2025. This event will take place as part of the popular TUCday, which includes numerous events and activities to strengthen bonds between former students and their alma mater. Alumni celebrating 25, 50, 60 or even 65 years after graduating have the opportunity to register to receive an honorary diploma. The award ceremony will take place on May 10th by Rector Prof. Dr. Gerd Strohmeier.
The organizer of the meeting, Stephanie Höber, alumni coordinator of the university, announced that the meeting would begin on May 9th with a get-together in the university library and a tour of the newly designed library in the “Alte Aktienspinnerei”. In addition to the unique opportunity to explore the university and take part in guided tours of the historical and modern rooms, the program also includes specialist lectures and activities by the faculties, which aim to give participants insights into current research projects.
Event details and registration
As part of the program, the “Long Night of Science” will take place on May 10th, which, along with other events, will provide a deep insight into the scientific activities of Chemnitz University of Technology. The meeting also offers the opportunity to browse through your own student files and refresh personal memories. At the end of the meeting on May 11th, a city tour is planned, during which participants can visit some of Chemnitz's most famous sights.
Previous alumni meetings
The 11th International Alumni Meeting took place on April 27th and 28th, 2024 and offered an equally varied program, which included, among other things, the opening of an exhibition and guided tours of the university. Here, certificates of honor were awarded to alumni who celebrated important anniversaries of their time as students.
