About International Postdoc Appreciation Week
The International Postdoc Appreciation Week is supported by various institutions and networks in Germany. This includes, among other things, this Munich Postdoc Network, which launched the Postdoc Appreciation Week together with the Research and Innovation Services at Leibniz University Hannover. This initiative recognizes the contributions of postdocs in research, teaching and administration and includes a joint program with numerous events.
The employees of Leibniz University Hannover and the board members of the Munich Postdoc Network deserve special recognition. To support postdocs, there is a network that offers a wide range of contacts and opportunities for further training, including career development programs.
The Max Planck Institute also promotes professional security and scientific progress for postdoctoral researchers. The institutes offer central in-house seminars to promote soft skills and leadership competencies. It is recommended to directly contact the appropriate working group for postdoc positions that are published on the Max Planck Society's online job board.
The current focus on supporting postdoctoral researchers and progressively developing career opportunities demonstrates the academic community's commitment to honoring the valuable role these researchers play in science.
