Bauhaus University Weimar launches innovative course catalog for everyone!
The BAUHAUS4EU (B4EU) university alliance published its first course catalog today, October 1, 2025. This catalog now offers all university members of the ten partner universities, which also includes the Bauhaus University Weimar, access to a wide range of educational offerings. The publication is an important step within the European higher education strategy, which aims to deepen cooperation between European educational institutions and create a common European campus.
The new course catalog includes a variety of events, including lectures, workshops, staff weeks and training courses, which have been developed specifically for students, administrative and technical staff, as well as teachers and researchers. Topics such as promoting tourism in rural regions, workshops on mental health and specialist seminars in economics and mathematics are available. The offers can be sorted using a filter option according to topics, target groups, mobility, formats and ECTS points. In addition, the catalog will be updated with new content every three months starting in December.
Promoting internationalization
The aim of BAUHAUS4EU is not only to enrich the study and further training offerings, but also to support the internationalization strategy of the Bauhaus University Weimar. The expansion of the professional skills of university members through international perspectives is intended to help attract new students to the university, who become aware of the institution through the course catalog.
BAUHAUS4EU brings together a total of ten member universities and 67 associated partners from all over Europe, forming a campus with 124,000 students and 10,000 employees. Within this framework, the partner universities commit to promoting a European identity and deepening their transnational cooperation. The project is funded by the European Union and is part of a larger program that includes a total of 65 European University Alliances, in which more than 570 universities from 35 countries are involved. These alliances represent a key innovative force in Europe's education system.
New seminars and their goals
Another exciting offer within the BAUHAUS4EU initiative is a seminar that deals with the role of art in the context of the climate crisis. Topics include aesthetic responses to the climate crisis and participatory experiences to promote ecological values. The participants in this seminar will develop the theoretical foundations through texts by well-known authors and deal with artistic practices. A central goal of the seminar is to enable students to critically reflect on their own position in the climate discourse.
The seminar is divided into three parts: First, theoretical positions are taught, followed by the practical combination of these approaches with artistic practices, which result in your own project. The final presentation will take place in the “Open Atelier” of the Spring Academy. Interested architecture, interior design and landscape architecture students must register by November 2, 2025 to take part in this innovative course.
With these initiatives, the BAUHAUS4EU alliance underlines its commitment to an integrative and future-oriented educational landscape in Europe that promotes learning across borders and opens up new horizons. The developments follow the concept already presented by the EU Commission as part of its European Higher Education Strategy 2022. This initiative aims to create a sustainable European educational community through strategic partnerships and mobility experiences.
In summary, the BAUHAUS4EU alliance shows how the exchange and collaboration between universities in Europe can create innovative educational approaches that meet the challenges of today.
