Digital Day in Gotha: Discover the future of the library!
On June 27, 2025, the Gotha Research Library at the University of Erfurt will host an exciting event as part of the nationwide Digital Day. Under the motto “Digital Democracy: Have a say. Help shape. Participate.” The event will provide insights into the digitization of the library's historical holdings. At 5 p.m. the meeting point will be in the Herzog Ernst Cabinet at Friedenstein Castle in Gotha.
Participants can expect a comprehensive presentation of the library's cooperative, collection-related digital strategy. This is happening on the occasion of Gotha's 1250th anniversary, which further underlines the importance of this event. The focus is on the digitization, presentation and research of Gotha literature, which is part of the city's rich history.
