New coaching format strengthens managers at the University of Erfurt!

The University of Erfurt has initiated a new program to support academic managers. As part of the academic qualification, a format called “Collegial Advice” is offered. This could open up a changed perspective on leadership issues by offering participants space for reflection and exchange. University of Erfurt reports that the first session will take place on November 10, 2025 and will last from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The aim of the program is to empower managers with a structured format to work on their challenges together. Registrations are open until October 26, 2025, and up to four follow-up appointments are planned over a six-month period. This creates a sustainable platform for regular exchange.

The method of collegial consultation

Collegial case consultation is a widespread method for supporting managers, especially in change processes. Loud JBT This method is intended to enable managers to proactively design and lead changes. Expansion of offers for managers

In addition to collegial advice, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz offers a comprehensive development program aimed at managers in various areas. The initiative Personnel development Mainz emphasizes that the program responds to the complex requirements that managers have to meet today.

The participants are specifically prepared to critically reflect on their role as a manager and to strengthen their communication skills. Practical cases are integrated into the program to ensure the connection between theory and practice.

A survey of former participants from 2011 shows that 91% of respondents developed further in their everyday leadership and 81% were able to practically apply the elements they learned.
