Ilmenau University of Technology: Information about choosing a course of study in Erfurt!
The Technical University of Ilmenau opens its doors to prospective students in Erfurt. From September 8th to 12th, 2025, consultations will be offered daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event takes place at Willy-Brandt-Platz 1, directly opposite Erfurt Central Station. The target group is primarily high school graduates and those interested in studying technical and scientific courses.
Those interested can find out more about all bachelor's degree programs in person without making an appointment in advance. Enrollment for these courses is possible until September 15th without any admission restrictions. In addition to information about choosing a course of study, the program also includes information about admissions, deadlines and living in Ilmenau.
Advice and support
The advice is aimed at a broad audience – from high school graduates to future students from the Erfurt region. The university offers support with the online application portal and checks the application documents for completeness. There is also help with digitizing the necessary documents.

From December onwards, there will also be regular advice and orientation about studying at the branch in Erfurt on the first Tuesday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The application deadlines are crucial for everyone who wants to study at TU Ilmenau. It is important to find out about the required documents at an early stage and to compile all documents in a timely manner. Late submissions cannot be considered; Applications submitted after a deadline will be excluded. This also applies to documents sent by post: the date of receipt at the university counts here, not the postmark.
