Birthday party of the Wissenwerkstadt: AI highlights for young and old!
The knowledge workshop city of Bielefeld will celebrate its one-year anniversary on September 6, 2025 with a special event that will mark the starting signal for GENIALE 2025. On this day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., an extensive program will be offered at Wilhelmstrasse 3 that appeals to all age groups. The focus of the celebrations is the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Us”, which forms the overarching guideline for the upcoming three months. In addition to creative offerings such as tinkering with robots for children ages three and up and screen printing with AI support, a fascinating experiment with a slime mold that serves as a model for AI will also be presented. A highlight of the event is the opening of the exhibition “I AM A.I.”, which will offer different perspectives on artificial intelligence. Visitors can also take part in “Talkaoke”, an interactive discussion about the impact of AI on our lives.
Diverse program for everyone
GENIALE 2025 offers a huge range of activities with over 50 participation offers and more than 300 dates. The program not only includes workshops and science shows, but also excursions to Bielefeld research laboratories. The Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (HSBI), the University of Paderborn, the Bielefeld Natural History Museum and numerous other partners are taking part. The offers are designed to provide answers to pressing questions about artificial intelligence, to stimulate thought and, above all, to have fun.
