Future Festival in Bielefeld: Discussions and art for planetary justice!
The festival “Thinking.Feeling.Acting – A future festival for planetary justice” will take place in Bielefeld from June 30th to July 5th, 2025. Organized by Working Group 10 “Migration Education and Criticism of Racism”. Bielefeld University and that Welthaus Bielefeld e.V., the event aims to get people talking about their experiences and political attitudes in times of multiple crises. These crises include the climate catastrophe, social inequality and anti-human politics.
The program includes more than 100 free events, including workshops, discussions, art and theater, and hands-on activities. The festival is open to anyone interested in science, politics, activism, education, civil society and the public. The opening event on June 30th will start with a panel discussion on “What is planetary justice and what can it do in a polarized world?” and a concert entitled “Confidence”.
Venues and additional program
The events will take place at several locations, including the VHS Bielefeld, the Bielefeld Art Association, Bielefeld University, the Welthaus Bielefeld, the Alarm Theater and the Schwanzwind driving school. The special highlights include:

- Global Brunch am 5. Juli mit OB-Kandidat*innen sowie ein Abschlussfest mit Kabarett und Live-Musik
The festival attaches great importance to the participation of citizens. The call for participation encourages every question or idea, no matter how small, to be included in the discussion. Anyone interested is invited to contact the organizers and take an active part in organizing the festival.
Family friendly program
